Faculty Research

CISE faculty are active scholars and their expertise spans a broad range of STEM (Science, Technology, Engineering, and Mathematics) fields and beyond.  CISE faculty engage with business and industry and government sponsors to provide opportunities for our students to work on problems that matter to society.  As you peruse our departmental and faculty webpages, you'll learn how we put knowledge to use.

Student Research

Students within CISE have a curriculum that strongly integrates problem-based learning with an emphasis on balancing theory and practice.  Our students are exposed to a variety of projects that equip students with real-world practical skills in problem solving, team work, project management, communication skills, etc.  Students participate who in scholarly research, papers, and undergraduate research conventions have an advantage when applying for graduate school or employment.
